Mickey's PhilharMagic (3-D) three dimensional enhanced movie is presented to you on a huge 150-foot wraparound screen. As you enter the foyer you will pick up your 3-D glasses needed for the movie, before taking your seat in the theater. The Disney guides are dressed in the classic theater attendant uniforms and allow the guests to take their seats in what appears to be a mix of the grand movie theaters and orchestra halls of the past.

Ride Experience:
When seated we hear Goofy cleaning the backstage area and preparing for the symphony to start, with Mickey conducting. The show begins, but Mickey has been called away, leaving Donald Duck to keep order. Donald then takes the Sorcerer's Hat in an attempt to make the show his own. The conductor's baton comes to life, as do the musical instruments, and proceeds to lead Donald through many of the favorite scenes from Disney films. The audience is treated to the clouds above Agrabah, Simba's Pride lands, and Ariel's grotto and others before returning back to the theater hall where Mickey once again takes control.

What Disney Says:
"Be dazzled by this immersive attraction that bursts forth with amazement from one of the largest seamless screens in the world! It stars Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and other beloved Disney favorites in a hilarious adventure through movies, music and mayhem. Experience Characters you love in a whole new dimension! This rollicking, frolicking 3-D ‘sym-funny' of surprises is guaranteed to delight the whole family."

Notes, Tips and/or Facts:
The show is in the same theater as the Mickey Mouse Revue, in which Mickey made his Magic Kingdomdebut as an orchestra conductor. Don't forget to pick up your 3-D glasses on the way in and leave them on the way out. The director, George Scribner, is well known as one of Disney's best animated film directors.

Author's Comments:
I was genuinely impressed by this show. The film is considered to be 3D, but in reality it is 4D. The Imagineers have added enough outside stimuli to aid the movie. A splash of water accompanies the mop buckets and a blast of air as we soar through the clouds with Aladdin and Jasmine. Another thing that I felt made this show so delightful is that it is geared for what Disney has always wanted: it brings us into the movies of Disney. This feature also keeps the movie light. The effects were spectacular without going for shock or fear that so many three dimensional movies go with. The story is simple but great and the viewers are anxious and curious about where the movie will take them next, even after a second and third viewing.
