Disney World Magic Kingdom Theme Park has many Attractions for visitors including Railroad ride. Ride Magic Kingdom Railroad for Grand Circle tour of the Disney World Magic Kingdom.
You take a ride on a train that gives you a Grand Circle tour of the MAGIC KINGDOM! It has stops that include: Main Street, U.S.A. (which is also the stop for the Main Entrance and where the Grand Circle tour begins), Frontierland (which is also the stop for Liberty Square and Adventureland), and Mickey's Toontown Fair (which is also the stop for Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and the final stop on the Walt Disney World® Railroad). After that stop, it goes back to Main Street, U.S.A.
Ride Experience:
You will gain access to the Main Street Station train from the Main Entrance of MAGIC KINGDOM's main gate. Go through the tunnel, picking up a couple maps on the way, climb the steps to the station entrance, go through the glass doors and on to the platform.
Once on the platform we selected an empty bench seat to start our day's tour. As the train pulls away from the Main Street Station (which is directly above the park entrance tunnel), you will emerge from the Train Station and view the Magic KingdomMonorail Station on your left. As you move further along, you'll see the bridge that the SpectroMagic Parade passes under on its nighttime journey around the park! Be prepared, because next you'll face a dark tunnel that's filled left, right, and even below you with the Pirates of the Caribbean. Then you'll pass by the gates where the Disney Dreams Come True parade begins its march.
As you enter the next tunnel, look to your right for a glimpse of Splash Mountain! You're now arriving at Frontierland Station, which is the stop for Liberty Square and Adventureland! As the next leg of your trip begins, you'll ride by an "out of control train," careening past you at dangerously fast speeds - don't worry, that's just Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. As you cross the next bridge, be on the lookout below for the Liberty Square Riverboat; this is the waterway it takes for fresh paint and tune ups when needed. Coming up next on your right is the Indian village of Pocahontas' tribe. Watch out for the frogs and a gator next - whew, they're just for effect! If you've ever wondered where Mickey and his pals live, that's coming up, too, as you arrive in Mickey's Toontown Fair. Continuing on, you'll travel under the Tomorrowland Transit Authority bridge (check this ride out to hear information about the park and the future). Next up is Space Mountain, on your left and your right!
The bus station for resort guests and ferry boat dock are the last things you'll pass on your way back into the Main Street Station. The entire ride is approximately 1.5 miles, or a 20-minute trip around the park.
What Disney Says:
"Ride the rails aboard one of these four nostalgic trains as they take 20 minute journeys around the park. Disembark this authentic steam-powered locomotive on Main Street, U.S.A. ®, Frontierland® or Mickey's Toontown Fair®. "

Frontierland Station is most congested during peak afternoon hours. Don't take your stroller onboard; park it and pick up a replacement when you disembark. Take your personal belongings, stroller name card and rental receipt with you. Look for items lost on the train such as Chip ‘n' Dale's acorn, Pluto's bone, Captain Hook's hook, etc., in the Main Street, U.S.A. depot lower lobby.
Author's Comments:
Walt Disney was an antique train aficionado. Walt encircled his own California home in a one-eighth-scale train named Lilly Belle. He named his railroad the Carolwood Pacific and even built a tunnel so as not to disturb the flower and Rose garden of his wife Lillian.
Walt Disney World® uses four locomotives named Lilly Belle, Roy O. Disney, Walter E. Disney and Roger E. Broggie (Imagineer Roger E. Broggie was a longtime friend who shared Walt's enthusiasm for the antique trains). Disney obtained the original two-track-wide red bridge between Main Street and Frontierland from the original Florida Flagler line. Mickey Mouse and the 1928 steam engine are the same age.
