Ride Description:
Lights, Lights, and more Lights flair up your favorite Disney Characters as each character is transformed into magical illuminated forms of spectacular and colorful delight at this outstanding the "SpectroMagic" Parade. Disney uses modern fiber optics, holographic images, and old fashioned twinkle lights along with liquid nitrogen clouds and features great musical soundtracks from classical Disney tunes. So get to your favorite parade spot early as this attraction will bring everyone in the park to set or stand along the parade route.

The SpectroMagic music is by John Debney and Steve Skorija, with lyrics by Bruce Donnelly, Don Frantz, and Steve Skorija.
As you know, Disney Imagineers are masters of lights and sound. Once again you will find yourself somewhere along Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland or at the circle in front of Cinderella's Castle in the evening. I cannot say enough about this awesome sight, so do not miss this attraction as it is a fantastic display of lighted walking and riding Disney characters.

Some of the special characters include SpectroMen atop the title float, Chjenabog. SpectroMen is the Fantasia's Monstrous demon who unfolds his 38-foot wingspan.

The parade route starts at the fire station on Main Street U.S.A. and travels around Cinderella's Castle circle over the bridge into Frontierland, passes the Hall of Presidents and ends at Frontier Fries.

Ride Experience:
Although this is not a ride, you will still have the thrill of your life. Never before have you been able to see lights on parade that are this phenomenal. As the parade starts and the first float enters Main Street, the excitement wells up inside of you because you just know you are about to see MAGIC KINGDOM's most beautiful parade. You know that the most favorite Disney characters will be transformed into magical musical light forms. This is a parade that combines lights, fiber-optics, music and absolute Magic! SpectroMagic follows the normal parade route, starting from the large gates at the left of the start of Main Street, where it circles Town Square before heading along Main Street itself, turning left and heading out towards Liberty Square and through Frontierland, then finishing at the far end of Frontierland. The parade features floats adorned with around 600,000 miniature bulbs, which flicker and shine in time with the music.

They also use fiber-optic cables, which constantly change intensity and color; all of this is perfectly choreographed with the SpectroMagic theme tune that plays throughout the parade.

What Disney Says:
"Bask in the glow as your favorite Disney characters illuminate the night in this dazzling parade. Every conceivable form of illumination from rainbows of colored lights to dizzying arrays of fiber optics light up smiles for miles around. Marvel at the pageantry as Mickey and company star in this magical, glittering spectacle featuring half a million lights!"

Author's Comments:
Although signs may say ''On special nights,'' the Parade usually occurs every night! My best viewing was next to Splash Mountain exit! It's a great show that has great lighting effects and some pyrotechnics!

Sometimes there are two showings of the "SpectroMagic" parade. (About 9pm and 11pm). If you are planning to stay late you can take in additional attractions while the crowd is at the first parade. Check the Times Guide and/or New Information Guide for detailed information on schedules.

If you visit Orlando and you want the most magical evening of your life, then do not miss the fantastic "SpectroMagic" Parade. I love it. Just imagine what your kids will think.
